That person is going extinct in the consumer economy. Replaced by faceless brands, automated ticket queues, planned obsolescence, and proprietary parts that turn a one-time purchase into a recurring tax.

BeCat exists because the honest mechanic is not gone. They moved into the litter box business.

We build self-cleaning litter boxes for two kinds of cat owner. The first is the person who has spent enough money in this category and wants the next purchase to be the last one. The second is the person whose back, wrist, attention span, or recovery does not negotiate with a daily five-minute job — and who almost gave up the cat over it.
