PLAIN-ENGLISH OPENER

These terms cover what happens when you visit this website or place an order from BeCat. They are short on purpose. If you read something and don't understand it, email us. The person who replies wrote the terms.

By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service.

WHO WE ARE

BeCat is a brand operated by Exotix Creators LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company with its mailing address at 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA.

When these terms say "we," "us," or "our," they mean Exotix Creators LLC operating the BeCat brand. When they say "you" or "your," they mean the person visiting this website, placing an order, or using a BeCat product.

ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian agreeing on your behalf, to place an order. By placing an order you confirm you meet that requirement.

THE PURCHASE

When you place an order on this website, you agree to:

  • Pay the price shown at checkout, in US dollars.
  • Provide a shipping address we can deliver to (we ship to the continental US, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and US military APO/FPO addresses — see the Shipping Policy).
  • Provide accurate contact information so we can reach you about your order.

When we accept your order (an order is accepted when we send the order confirmation email), we agree to:

  • Process and hand the unit to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days.
  • Honor the per-product estimated delivery window shown on the product page.
  • Honor the 90-day in-home trial (see the Refund & Returns Policy).
  • Honor the 1-year warranty included with every unit, and the 4-year extended warranty if you purchased that option.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order — for any reason, including suspected fraud, pricing errors, freight-forwarder addresses, or stock issues. If we cancel, we refund in full.

PRICING AND PAYMENT

  • All prices are listed in US dollars and exclude any applicable sales tax, which is calculated and added at checkout based on your shipping address.
  • Payment is processed by Shopify Payments, Stripe, and Shop Pay. We never see your full card number.
  • Promotional pricing is honored at the price displayed at checkout. We do not retroactively match or refund the difference if a price drops after your purchase, except as required by law.

SHIPPING

Shipping is governed by the Shipping Policy. In summary:

  • Free shipping in the continental US.
  • 1–2 business days handling, 7-12 calendar days total to door depending on the model.
  • AK / HI / PR available; rate calculated at checkout, never billed afterward.
  • No international shipping at this time.

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

Returns are governed by the Refund & Returns Policy. In summary:

  • 90-day in-home trial from delivery date.
  • Free return shipping (prepaid label).
  • Full refund to original payment method.
  • No restocking fee.
  • Accessories are final sale once opened.

WARRANTY

Every BeCat unit comes with a 1-year warranty included from the delivery date. Parts and labor.

A 4-year extended warranty is available at checkout for an additional $100. The extended option covers parts and labor for a total of 4 years from delivery.

The warranty covers:

  • Manufacturing defects.
  • Normal wear failures of internal components within the covered period.
  • Defects that develop without misuse.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Physical damage from being dropped or knocked off a surface.
  • Water damage from flooding, plumbing leaks, or spilled liquids.
  • Damage from non-clumping litter (we recommend clumping; non-clumping can jam the rotation mechanism).
  • Modifications you made to the unit.
  • Damage caused by an animal chewing or otherwise destroying the unit beyond normal wear.

To make a warranty claim, email support@becatshop.com with your order number and a short description or video of the issue. If we agree the issue is covered, we repair or replace at no cost to you, including shipping in both directions.

If we cannot determine whether something is covered, we err on your side. Call us.

USE OF THE WEBSITE

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site, the systems behind it, or any other user's account.
  • Scrape, mirror, or systematically copy the site's content for commercial use.
  • Reverse-engineer the firmware or software on a BeCat unit.

We can suspend or terminate access at our discretion if any of these are violated.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The BeCat name, logo, product designs, and all photographs and copy on this site are owned by Exotix Creators LLC or licensed to it. You may share images of your BeCat unit on social media — tag us if you do, we'd like to see. Commercial reproduction of the site's content requires written permission.

THIRD-PARTY LINKS

This site may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those sites. Following an external link is at your own risk.

DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

We do our best to make BeCat units that work as described. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • BeCat units are provided "as is" and "as available," with the warranty described above and no other warranties (express or implied).
  • We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, except as specifically stated in the warranty above.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • Our total liability for any claim arising from your purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the unit involved in the claim.

This section does not limit any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Exotix Creators LLC, its officers, members, and employees from any claim arising out of your misuse of the website, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by direct communication between you and us is to be brought in the state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, or, at either party's election, resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules.

You may opt out of binding arbitration by emailing support@becatshop.com within 30 days of your first purchase, with the subject line "Arbitration opt-out." We will not retaliate against you for opting out.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We post the updated version with a new "last updated" date at the bottom. Existing orders are governed by the terms in force on the date you placed the order.
